Textile Structure Engineering Studio
Digital simulation, structural intelligence, custom fabric design
Where structure meets performance
The fabric structure is the foundation of any textile product. It must be engineered for its intended use — durable enough for workwear, comfortable enough for healthcare uniforms, and performance-optimised for activewear. At Seekingtex, our Textile Structure Engineering Studio combines advanced CAD modelling, weave/knit simulation, and decades of practical textile engineering experience to deliver fabrics that are optimised for their intended application.
Design tools and standards
Our digital engineering environment includes:
| Capability | Software / Tool | Application |
|---|---|---|
| Weave/knit design | EAT / ScotWeave / CAD-CAM | Weave pattern, knit structure, repeat design |
| Fabric simulation | TexGen / WiseTex | 3D fabric geometry, permeability prediction |
| Colour matching | Datacolor / X-Rite | Colour formulation, shade library management |
Our engineering workflow
Every fabric development follows a rigorous five-stage process:
- Concept & requirements gathering — We define end-use requirements, performance targets, and aesthetic goals.
- Structure design & simulation — The fabric structure is designed and simulated for mechanical and aesthetic properties.
- Material selection — Yarn type, count, and twist are selected based on end-use requirements and cost targets.
- Sample production & testing — Samples are produced and tested against specification targets.
- Design review & release — The complete specification package is reviewed before release to production.
Customisation: your fabric, your rules
No two clients have identical requirements. A hotel uniform needs different properties than a hospital scrub. We do not force your application into a pre-existing fabric construction. We design from your specification upward.
Our engineers
The studio is led by a senior textile engineer with 14 years of experience in fabric development, supported by two textile technologists specialised in weave and knit construction. All three hold advanced degrees in textile engineering or related fields.
Partner with us on your next fabric
From the first concept sketch to the final specification, our Textile Structure Engineering Studio is your partner in creating a fabric that is not just manufactured — but engineered.
